Snail mail versus E-mai

A very good day for all of you J

Today, I would like to bring you to the real application of technology which works together with business field.  Yupp… Actually, IT and business are two different fields that if we combine together then it will make a very perfect combination. So, let us talk about one of traditional businesses that have moved to digital firm for some of their systems in order to market products more efficiency. It is the used of snail mail (mail sent through the postal system) to electronic mail (e-mail).

Yea... Nowadays, many companies use e-mail to market their product. It is an easy process by only clicking buttons in the computer without costing you much money, unless for your internet access. People say that e-mail can be a great way to generate leads and sales to contact prospects and build their business better. This is how globalization has changed their way to do business. There are no more papers flying in your home and make your dustbin full because the only thing you need to do is sit calmly in front of your computer or laptop and read through the spam or advertisement. This is why those companies do to reduce wasting papers and save the environment as well cut down their expenses. So clever right?

In addition, there is no doubt email is faster than snail mail. When communicating with someone in another state or country, email is the practical route because most of the time email is immediate. Snail mail takes days and can be costly and sometimes impractical. So, we can say that, the most obvious benefit of email is that it is immediate. In an office setting, it is much easier to send an email to an entire department. Email is also relatively cheap if not free in most cases.

However, while snail mail is slower than email, it is more personal. It is about how you bring the costumers to the real tangible approaches by the company. Though you can say the same things in an email that you can say in a letter, a letter is something someone can touch and keep. For example, cards and letters can be filed away and saved as mementos same goes to the other customers who like to keep the promotion papers and refer to it later

And I am one of the people who really appreciate the valuable of a handwritten notes and cards up until now.
*This is a postcard which I received a couple month ago from someone in Bandung Indonesia.
i heart this so much!*
